Yousef Aldairy, M.D. is a retina specialist. He completed a prestigious and rigorous vitreoretinal fellowship training at both Harvard Medical School and Duke University. After completing his fellowship at Duke University, he accepted a faculty position as a professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Duke Eye Center. He has advanced expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal conditions including macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular diseases, retinal tears and retinal detachment. Dr. Aldairy has extensive training in the interpretation of retinal vascular imaging including video fluorescein angiography (FA) and indocyanine green angiography (ICG) and uses his expertise to guide injection and laser-based treatment.
Dr. Aldairy has participated in multiple clinical trials and is actively pursuing innovative therapies in the treatment of macular diseases. He takes added interest in advanced ocular imaging, and specifically in optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA). Dr. Aldairy is committed to providing the highest level of evidence-based patient care.
Dr. Aldairy enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife and his two sons and two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, gardening, and reading.
